2010 Calender Week 36, August 30th
This site lists the Internet resources, software, search engines etc. which the author finds the most useful. The idea is to present with a short description only the arguably very best findings in various categories. The criteria for inclusion are:

- Free availability (only freeware, where downloads are concerned)

The Internet will be continuously monitored for new developments, but of the hundreds of findings within a week only a few, if none at all for individual weeks may be included here.

| A Search Engine which will either function like a regular one with suggestions as one types or into which a domain name can be typed in order to get sites similar to them as results | This is a mashup of Google maps and various data providers of ship traffic, shipping companies, etc. As a result there is a world map with positions of ships shown as small icons. Behind them there are details about the ships and routes, made visible upon a click. | The program acts as a multi-search engine for CD covers. It can be set to search and download from 26 external sources and one's own hard drive, either all or selectively. | At last there is an image resampler which keeps it simple, yet arrives at excellent resampling results.
